In earlier times in wars, some soldiers stood to one side with spears. They were used when defeat in battle seemed certain and they won the losing battle by attacking at the last moment. These were called freelancers. They were given money and they were called from other countries for various jobs and they were all trained warriors. From there comes the word freelancer and freelancing. Freelancing means you are free. You are not working under anyone. You are your own boss. You can do your work whenever you want. You are not under any pressure.

Online Freelancing is actually online laboring. If you know web designing or writing or know how to make an app or if you know video editing or you are a master of Facebook advertising or anything, you can become an online freelancer. Freelancers provide all these services online and make money from there.

Contribution of Youth in Pakistan’s Economy through Freelancing:

42 percent of Pakistani's youth start freelancing since Q2 2018, most by the youth up to 70pc under the age of 30. A more educational program has furthered Pakistan to participate inwards the economy of the country. Pakistan youth participate in the gig economy and

propelled the nation among the top destination provide freelancing services, after Pakistan grabbed the fourth spot, well above India and Bangladesh.

Pakistani freelance community is using a number of digital payment services to get earnings for their works. While the global digital payment platform Paypal is not present in the country, its subsidiary Xoom is dishing wire transfer services to the freelancers.

A large number of Pakistani women are becoming freelancers. They often sacrifice their careers for their families and home. Freelancing is providing Pakistani women with alluring opportunities to work from home and earn money. Now Pakistani women are taking a step out of their traditional roles. Now, it’s their responsibility to contribute more to the progress of the country as women of other countries playing a major role in their country’s economy.
